Public Affairs (2014-2015): C/Amn. Jeamarie Flores and C/Amn. Farah Shallan
At today's cadet assembly, Detective Higgins from the Police Department and Mr. Wilson came to talk to the cadets about the hazing incident that occurred in Sayreville, NJ. During the assembly, they stressed the importance of speaking up.
They continuously reiterated the following: Know something, See something, Say something. Hazing and harassment is a very serious case and should be treated like one. Victims of harassment can be traumatized from the event. It is up to the cadets, as well as the rest of the student body, to make sure a hazing situation is never to occur in Piscataway High School. Mr. Wilson identifies the AFJROTC cadets as leaders of the high school and that “true leaders don’t create more followers, they create more leaders”.
