After one week, a few select NJ-761 cadets have graduated and returned from CLC. CLC is short for the Cadet Leadership Course, where only a few cadets from many schools come to learn leadership under strict military discipline. The cadets who complete the course endure strenuous physical activity, dorm inspections, leadership activities, and many more activities that advance their understanding of leadership and how it can be utilized in life.

Towards the end of the school year, Cadets took part in learning how rockets work and got to make and fire their own. The Cadets first built foam rockets powered by a rubber band. Once the Cadets diligently made and fired their foam rockets, it was time to move onto the next stage: water rockets. Cadets turned soda bottles into water powered rockets and yet again showed their expertise. Finally, Cadets were given the opportunity to make actual rockets and fire them. Below is a video showing the firing of these various rockets. Cadets arrived at Conackamack Middle School at 8 o’clock, excited to help out and to see the many dogs at the event. But before they could see the dogs, the Cadets first had to help out completing various tasks such as setting up chairs, tables, selling tickets, etc. Once everything was set up, the Cadets watched proudly as the colors were raised with the reveille was played by C/Amn Andrew Vanlare.
It all began at 6 in the morning, when cadets eagerly arrived at the Pepsico Plant located on New Brunswick Ave to witness the ceremony. Cadets along with other Pepsico Employees and guests watched a video on what the Rolling Remembrance is. The Rolling Remembrance consists of a US flag that was flown over Afghanistan being driven around the country by Pepsico truck drivers who are also Veterans.
