It was 5 o-clock in the evening when cadets donned their unit shirts and arrived at Knollwood Elementary for one purpose: Knolwood's Family Fun Night! Shortly after arriving, the cadets immediately got busy, moving tables, preparing snacks and drinks, and ripping dozens of tickets for the upcoming movie night.
Then, around 6:10, the frenzy began! Parents with eager children flooded the hallways in anticipaiton for the movie night. With welcoming smiles, the cadets did not miss a beat, as they swiftly but efficiently distributed tickets and snacks to parents and children of all ages.
When the dust settled and all of the parents and children were situated watching Disney's, "Zootopia", the cadets were awarded with a break from their hard work, but not for long! Mrs. Morrow, a teacher at Knolwood and the host of the Knollwood Mentoring Program requested some assistance to prepare for the upcoming week's Knollwood Mentoring Program preparation, and the cadets politely agreed without hesitation.
Working efficiently and cooperatively, the cadets were able to finish all their preparatory work, awarding themselves another short break until their final task was at hand. The cadets generously assisted the janitors and staff cleaning up after the remains of popcorn and such, as well as, moving the tables and chairs back into place thus ending their night feeling accomplished and proud!
